Decomposed PKS can be obtained from palm oil mill dumped area. This
waste consist unburn palm kernel shells, fibers, boiler ash, and
miscellaneous particulate matter that mainly come from steam boiler. 20%
of this waste consist decomposed PKS. It has been there for over 15
years ago.

We have seen this opportunity as an alternative way to an increasing
price of fresh PKS in the market. We bought this waste and filter them
gradually to separate the the reamining PKS from the other waste. The
result was not so clean but could be improved by means of cleaning and
drying. The calorific value is still high at around 3500 Kcal/kg (Dried
basis)
